Some of the ‘perks’ that used to be pretty standard like rate reductions for on-time payments and auto-deduction of payments from your checking account may be going away pretty soon.

I consolidated my loans online with Sallie Mae. I went with them because they are reputable. Make sure you know who you’re doing business with if you do consolidate. Good luck!
